Researchers have shown that having a pedicure can be extremely helpful. Besieds helping to make your feet feel better, when massage is included, pedicures have been discovered to lower your stress and pain and promote better blood circulation. Professional pedicures, though, are not something that a lot of individuals are interested in having. Professional pedicures involve using the same tools that have been used on several others and you can’t say if those tools are hygienic. The cool news is that it is definitely possible to do your own pedicures. Here is what you must do if you are interested to experience all the benefits of a pedicure without stepping out of your front door.
To start, you should remove any existing polish with the help of a non-acetone polish remover (acetone can cause a lot of health conditions). Trim the nails on your toes straight across and use a nail file to file down any roughness. See to it that you trim the nails with the use of a toenail clipper, not one for fingernails. Clippers designed for clipping fingernails have a curved shape and can make your toenails become ingrown and painful.
Try using a foot bath and soak your feet. Try to let your feet sit in a tub filled with warm water for more or less three minutes. Additionally, you can try mixing things to the foot bath like bath salts, skin soothers and softeners and aromatherapy products. This makes your foot bath more relaxing and is a good way to take care of your feet to help them feel better. Virtually every bath and body area of stores have things to make a foot bath better. Of course, several might cost a little more but pick the ones you like most.
Use a pumice to get rid of any rough patches or calluses that could still be there after the bath. don’t try to use a callus shaver or a tool that is similar. A a pumic stone should be enough.
Wash your feet once you are finished using the pumice. After you have rinsed the dust from the pumice stone and your calluses and also any foot soak-ness that remains, put on some moisturizing lotion. You can see lots of different types of moisturizing lotions produced specifically for the feet. Don’t simply rub in the lotion, but it’s okay if you are pressed for time. Try to massage in the lotion if possible. Massaging works to settle down not only your feet but the rest of your body too.
Now that your feet are squeaky clean, callus-free clear of calluses and have been properly moisturized, if you have time, the next step is to make them attractive. This is not an essential step, but knowing that your feet are attractive looking can help you feel better about the rest of you, even if you keep your feet closed into shoes most of the day. Try to push back your cuticles with the use of a cuticle pusher (the trimmers will cut your skin and cause infections). Next, apply a coat of nail strengthening polish. Once base coat has had the time to dry properly, you cna put on whatever colors or designs that you prefer!
At home pedicures don’t need to take a great deal of time and are usually less expensive than what you would pay for professional services. At-home pedicures are wonderful for your whole body health, so get moving!
