If you’re anything like me, you’d much rather feed your skin natural ingredients than artificial ones.
Evidently, over 50% of refined skin creams contain toxic substances that absorb quickly through the skin and that can do us a lot of harm. Not good!
After testing all the anti-aging skin potions available without ever noticing much rejuvenation of my skin, I discovered raw shea butter. It consists of nothing but, well, shea butter. In short, it’s completely natural. It’s extracted right from the African shea kernel.
You’ll notice how remarkable this substance is the first time you apply it. It contains miraculous moisturizers — dry skin will disappear forever. So will irritated, red, chapped skin. And skin plagued with dermatitis, rashes, or stretch marks is likely to be markedly improved. Massage it in all over — you can’t overdose.
Okay, here’s the next thing: Unrefined shea butter, the only kind you should use, doesn’t exactly smell terrific. However, have you experienced essential oils? I found them just recently — I didn’t realize what I was missing until experimenting with these 100% natural, restorative oils! Who would ever use synthetic scents when they can wear the real thing? They are so divine, I’d sometimes prefer to osmose pure rose, lemongrass or lavender oil than have a good meal.
Consider the serendipity of raw shea butter and essential oils blended. Yum! The product linked here currently has ten scent variations, and each blends virgin shea butter and pure essential oils. Let’s take lavender as an example. Lavender oil has too many benefits to identify here, backed up by scientific studies. It’s well documented, for instance, that lavender promotes sleep. It works to renew the skin without irritating it. It’s fungicidal and anti-viral, can treat minor skin injuries, and can relieve the itching of insect bites. It can even relieve psychological tension. Beyond that, the aroma is so seductive that I’m nearly addicted to it.

Unrefined Shea Butter . . . Or, How A Family Solved All Its Skin Problems With One Natural Product
Judy and Sam Johnson are both rangers in Yellowstone National Park, where snow can linger into June, where winter temperatures can hit minus 35 degrees, and where Memorial Day can be mistaken for a white Christmas. At one time it was a job held only by men; but now Judy and Sam both patrol the park’s borders by snowmobile, do search and rescue missions, and maintain the park’s water processing system.
Imagine looking for childcare in the backcountry in – 35 degrees! Well, that’s exactly what Judy and Sam had to do for their 2 year old son, Alex.
The family wouldn’t give up their way of life for anything, but they do have several difficulties. Skin problems top the list. In the extreme winters, both Judy and Sam are bothered by red, blistered faces, hands and lips. Meanwhile, their toddler’s skin is so dry that he practically scratches it off his young body.
One December evening, Judy was describing the family’s skin issues to her sister, Jessica. Jessica jumped in and told Judy to get some grade A, virgin shea nut butter. “You will never put another product on your skin again!”
Obviously, finding shea butter in the middle of winter in Yellowstone was not exactly a piece of cake, so when two jars of it showed up in the mail, thanks to Jessica, Judy was more than pleased. A beautiful photo decorated both jars of Shea ScentSations shea butter. One contained “Romantic Rose Shea Butter,” and the other “Healing Tea Tree Shea Butter.” Both varieties consisted only of raw, top quality shea butter and pure essential oils.
Before applying the ivory colored shea butter, Judy indulged in the bouquets from both jars and enjoyed the alluring, natural fragrances. The lavender was ambrosial, and the tea tree was deeply satisfying . Both aromas were full, not merely hints of the essential oil. Judy was thrilled with the opportunity to treat her skin while also getting a nice dose of aromatherapy.
She realized as soon as she had rubbed the buttery compound all over her body that this product was the answer to her family’s skin problems. Her skin soaked it up and asked for more.
Four weeks later, irritated, dry, rough faces, hands and feet are part of the past for all the Johnsons. Alex’s skin is protected for the entire day with an all-over coating of pure shea nut butter. Sam thoroughly enjoys the Tea Tree, and is eager to sample various other varieties. Judy adores the Lavender Shea Butter, and wants to experience all the essential oil selections.
To her surprise, after starting to use shea butter, Judy has noticed her stretch marks diminishing. Additionally, she mailed a jar of Jasmine Shea Butter to her mom, who later said it was more deeply hydrating than any other substance she had previously applied to her face, and said her wrinkles and fine lines were slowly diminishing.
Jessica had it right: Judy, Sam and Alex will never let themselves run out of raw shea butter, and, they will never buy shea butter without the heavenly essential oils.
